To generate income through your Facebook fan page is often simpler than on Instagram, as it primarily requires an active and engaged fan base.
As the most widely used social network globally, Facebook offers significant opportunities to gain followers quickly, especially if your content is engaging and attracts user attention.
There are four main ways to generate income from a Facebook fan page:
- Stars Facebook compensates page owners for the stars they receive during interactions with followers. To qualify, a page must have at least 500 followers gained in the last 30 days. Meta pays $0.01 USD per star for eligible pages.
- Short Videos Similar to platforms like TikTok and Instagram, Facebook rewards content creators for short videos that include ads. To be eligible, your page must have a minimum of 5,000 followers, 60,000 total eligible minutes viewed in the past 60 days, and at least 5 active videos.
- Live Streaming Videos Facebook also offers monetization opportunities for live video content. Pages must have at least 10,000 followers and 600,000 total eligible minutes viewed within the past 60 days, which includes 60,000 live video minutes and a minimum of 5 active videos, including at least 3 previously live streams.
- Fan Subscriptions Similar to platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook allows page owners to earn recurring monthly income through fan subscriptions. You can set a monthly fee, offer exclusive benefits, and build a community of supporters. This feature requires either 10,000 followers, or 250 returning viewers, along with 50,000 post engagements or 180,000 minutes viewed.
