Title

PL/SQL Developer

We are looking for a PL/SQL Developer to join one of our development teams delivering solutions to a telco client. You will be involved in the development of world-class solutions in accordance with functional specifications and system architecture as well as to design and implement data structures and queries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• PL/SQL Development
• Unit Testing

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and development of new features and products, within an application framework, together with other members of the project team.
• Documentation and unit testing for items developed
• Configuration of the application, for new products and elements
• Deliver code that is functional, understandable, maintainable and testable
• Responsibility for own deliverables
• Utilise version control, build, continuous integration solutions and code quality tools as required
• Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts

Educational Qualifications:

• Software Engineering Degree or National Diploma

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience

Skills

Essential

• PL/SQL development experience
• SQL expertise
• Understanding of software engineering principles
• Understanding of data modelling principles
• Take responsibility for defect-free delivery within project deadlines
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Enthusiastic and self motivated

Advantageous

• Experience in the development of applications for the telecommunications industry
• Java experience will be advantageous

Other requirements

• Candidate can be based in Cape Town or Jhb.

Education

National Certificate Level 4 (N4) / Grade 12 (Required), National Diploma: Computer Engineering (Required)
