Requirements
• A relevant B degree in the Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience

Key Performance Areas
• Champions HR initiatives, interventions and strategies
and take accountability for ensuring effective implementation
of the HR function within the Directorate.
• Serves as a member of Water & Sanitation’s Management
team, providing input into the strategic framework and
contributing to the overall effective management of Water &
Sanitation
• Provides an HR consulting and advisory service across the
Directorate
• Ensures a culture of performance
• Ensures that adequate staffing levels are in place across the
directorate at all times and monitors succession planning in the
directorate
• Ensure the development of an on-going strategy that will
enable the
Directorate to address training and developmental needs
• Communicates, engages and facilitates with key stakeholders
and internal and external committees / organisations

• Ensure consistent implementation and application of
Corporate Human Resources policies.
• Provides guidance and expert, professional advice
to line on matters relating to; Talent Management, Employee
Relations, Organizational Development, Human Resources
related policies, procedures and legislation, Occupational
Health and Safety, Training and Development, Performance
Management, Job Evaluation and Remuneration.
